Via Trading begins operations with a team of four.
Liquidation wholesale since 2002 • Built for resellers • Serving buyers worldwide
Via Trading is a wholesale supplier specializing in true liquidation merchandise.
Since 2002, we have helped businesses and individual resellers source merchandise at a fraction of its original retail value — from smaller case and pallet purchases to large-volume truckload programs.
Today, Via Trading serves buyers throughout the United States and around the world with a simple goal:
Make liquidation merchandise easier to understand, easier to buy and easier to resell.
Via Trading began in 2002 in a 6,000 sq. ft. warehouse and retail store in West Los Angeles, with a team of four.
The original business model was simple: purchase excess merchandise and resell it through our own retail and online channels.
That experience gave us a first-hand understanding of the challenges liquidation buyers face.
At the time, the industry was highly fragmented. Merchandise information was often limited, transparency was inconsistent, customer service was difficult to find, and layers of brokers made sourcing inventory more complicated than it needed to be.
We saw an opportunity to build something better.
Instead of simply buying and selling merchandise, Via Trading began building a business focused on long-term supplier relationships, transparency, customer service and helping resellers succeed.
More than two decades later, those principles continue to guide how we operate.
We source and distribute liquidation and excess inventory across a wide variety of product categories, conditions and lot sizes.
Inventory may include:
Merchandise is offered in configurations ranging from cases and pallets to LTL quantities and full truckloads, giving buyers the ability to purchase based on their business model, budget and resale channel.
There is no single type of Via Trading customer.
We work with new and experienced resellers, retailers, wholesalers, exporters, e-commerce sellers, discount stores and other businesses looking for opportunities in the secondary market.
Some customers purchase a few hundred dollars at a time.
Others purchase multiple truckloads.
Our objective is the same regardless of size: provide buyers with the information, merchandise and support they need to make informed purchasing decisions.
To lead the liquidation industry through continuous improvement, transparency and world-class service while building long-term relationships with our customers, suppliers and team members.
We believe long-term success comes from operating with honesty, integrity and transparency and continually improving the way liquidation merchandise is bought and sold.
The large majority of our merchandise is secured under direct contract with Fortune 500 Department Stores & E-commerce Retailers and is mostly made up of Customer Returns, Shelf-Pulls & Overstocks. The estimated amount of goods returned to US retailers is in excess of $221 Billion/Year at full retail value (source: IHL Group). Of course not all those goods end up in Liquidation loads but this figure doesn’t include overstock or discontinued merchandise values.
Most department stores will liquidate or salvage items that they choose to no longer sell in their stores. These goods will include customer returns, shelf-pulls, marked-down items, out-of-season, discontinued items, in-store display items, overstocks, etc. Each store will operate their program differently & there may be little consistency from store to store. Via Trading purchases these loads under contract in very large quantities from the stores and makes them available for re-purchase to our customers either as a complete truckloads or broken down in to smaller lots.
LiquidateNow: Via Trading also Offers Liquidation Services to businesses such as small to medium size retailers, distributors, manufacturers, Logistic Companies, Financial Institutions & more through www.LiquidateNow.com. The latter are mostly limited stock offers & opportunistic in nature. When browsing our website you can identify such Listings by the LiquidateNow Logo appended to it.
